Planned training

From first flight to advanced ratings

These are the services Kilo Papa Aviation plans to offer once booking opens. Private pilot training is planned in a Cessna 152. Instrument training and beyond is planned in a Cessna 172 with advanced avionics. Both are in the Fort Lauderdale area.

Planned

Discovery flight

An introductory flight for anyone curious about flying. A relaxed way to see what a small airplane feels like and ask questions before committing to training.

Planned

Private pilot

Training toward the private pilot certificate, the usual first certificate for people who want to fly themselves, friends, and family.

Planned

Instrument rating

Training for pilots who want to fly by reference to instruments and operate under instrument flight rules (IFR).

Planned

Commercial pilot

Training toward the commercial pilot certificate for pilots working toward a flying career.

Planned

Flight review

A review of flying knowledge and skills with an instructor, for certificated pilots who need to stay current or want a refresher.

Planned

Instrument proficiency check (IPC)

A check for instrument-rated pilots who need to regain instrument currency or want to sharpen their IFR skills.

The training airplane

Why a Cessna 150 or 152?

For primary training, a two-seat Cessna 150 or 152 does the job well. It is a simple, forgiving trainer that typically costs less per hour to rent and burns less fuel than a four-seat Cessna 172, which can help with the airplane part of your training cost.

The exact airplane and airport will be shared when booking opens.
